Introduction

Hi! I’m YiFan Sun (逸凡 孙), born in Suzhou, China in 2004. I’m a third-year Chemistry undergraduate student at Beijing Normal University, and also an undergraduate teaching assistant for the course ‘Bilingual Organic Chemistry’.

Research Experience

I’m currently working under Prof. Qingzheng Yang at Beijing Normal University, developing novel photosensitizers and exploring their applications in photodynamic therapy. In the 2024 Summer, I got the chance to work with Prof. Kin Zhao at University of the Pacific, contributing to the development of novel platinum-based anticancer drugs. This 2025 Summer, I had the opportunity to go to Prof. Mingjiang Zhong‘s lab at Yale University and contribute to the research about stereocontrolled radical polymerization enabled by supramolecular interaction design.
